i tried Oblivion and i agree with Nightfall; it was way too overwhelming for me. i dont like hugely open games like that, i need direction and that game just throws you into a massive world for you to do as you please. too much to do i dont know where to start! so i quit lol
Cthulu...played a few hours into it and got bored. the story was decent but the gameplay was less than stellar.
i think i want to like bethesda more than i actually do.

Oblivion is one of those games you can really get your moneys worth out of it. You can spend 200+ hours on the game and still not explore every inch of territory. I know it has a great following, but you need to have the mindset and drive to explore these areas to get the most out of it.
