I connected the Netopia modem a few days ago and now I have a static problem in my phones. Turn the modem off and the static disappears.
By going off what you say, I would say it's the modem. OR - need more info Does this modem have wireless capabilities? Do you have 2.4G cordless phones?
If so, it may be interference between modem's wireless and your cordless phones.
