I usually run in the high 800s when I am running the DSLR speed test for 3G. About 3Mbit on wifi - I suspect that's a limitation of the processing speed of the phone.

I will definitely be eager to try this out.

Odd. I've pulled near 2 Mbit's on 3G and around 9 Mbit's on WiFi. It just depends on where I am at and how decent the WiFi is. I've only been able to pull 9 Mbit's at home, but then again, I have a 32 Mbit connection.
