hmm

I don't remember hearing Obama say anything regarding this lawsuit during his campaign.

I think people are a little quick to dogpile on this one.

This is yet another repetitive outlet for right wingers to be outraged because they lost the election. Get over it, noboby cares about swatted Rush Limbaugh flies or this lawsuit.

Rightwingers aren't outraged because they lost the election. Rage is the purview of leftwingers not rightwingers. And besides, rightwingers didn't even have a candidate in the election!

You are correct. It's a sad state of affairs when McCain looked conservative next to Obama, being as moderate as McCain is.

LMAO - Who are you kidding. McCain & Bible Spice looked like alzheimer patients compared to a bowl of jello. McCain couldn't figure out how email worked and couldn't even remember where all of his homes are located in Arizona. Caribou Barbie was and continues to be dumb as a bucket of hair. If that's what passes for either "conservative" and/or "moderate" I'll take the quivering bowl of jello every time.

This is true. I know many on the right who voted Obama simply because Sarah Palin scared the beejesus out of them.

Hindsight's a bitch...nobody on right in their "right" mind could justify a vote for Obama, though.

I contend that the only people that care about this are wingnut left and right wingers.

The right wingers, because it's an easy excuse to be outraged and the left wingers, because they are left wing and care about whimsical, fringe type of issues.

"Obama will reverse President Bush's policy of secrecy. He will institute a National Declassification Center to make declassification secure but routine, efficient, and cost-effective."

Do you find O'Bama's actions protecting secretive collusion between our government and powerful trans-world corporations in harmony with his above statement? Is this how president O'Bama will "reverse President Bush's policy of secrecy"?

O'Bama's choir would have us believe that since it could be construed as a technical difference, it doesn't count against him.

I hadn't heard that before.

I'm a conservative and a Palin supporter...

But that's hilarious.

That statement seems a bit vague and general.

It should be qualified. Which ones?

I thought these applied to Gitmo, which in the past months, Obama has made many changes contradictory to Bush.

Cheney, has been livid and outspoken about how the policy changes were going to make America more vulnerable.

Does this mean Cheney is a complete moron because there hasn't been any changes?

I too regret that these promises weren't more specific.
I think we agree that we can't figure out what promised actions are. But it seems that his ideology is clear on the matter. I wonder if he'll violate that too...again.

In a December 2007 speech, then Senater Obama declared,“I have been very troubled by the extent to which America has become a nation of government secrets. More and more information is kept secret or made intolerably complicated and inaccessible. More and more decisions are made behind closed doors with access limited to insiders and lobbyists.”

I don't think Gitmo was the primary focus of the above comment.

I think Cheney needs show some class, shut his mouth and go away.

Like Bush seems to be doing.
Like Clinton couldn't
Like Carter wouldn't

I thought the wingnuts on the right and left need to shut their mouths and go away.

I voted for this guy because I found him moderate, it seems the right wingers already hate him and he's pissing off a good base of loyal liberals to boot.

IMO, the more both squirm the better it is for the country.

Lol I agree longstreet.

Truth be told, Republicans are vastly outnumbered by Democrats in this country. The only reason Republicans are ever voted in is because such a low % of Democrats ever show up to vote, while nearly all Republicans are adamant about getting to the polls to stuff their beliefs down everyone's throats.

As compared to other liberal senators, quite middle of the road.

At least you didn't vote for him because of his concern for his strong stand against government gaining power over the citizens through information manipulation.

I know if I did, I'd be pretty upset right about now.

As long as I didn't let some other agenda interfere with my ethics, that is.

The government grew alot under Bush . . .wiretaps, patriot act, etc.

The original automaker bail-out ? That's Bush too.

I guess what i'm trying to say is that the government growing is inevitable, regardless of the candidate.
