People signed a contract for X months in exchanged for a discount on their current phone. AT&T expects to recoup that discount over that period of X months. If they give you the same discount on a new phone and the new contract end date is 2 years from today, they would be losing what ever the prorated discount was for the remaining term. If you spend more with them and pay as expected, they'll work with you. It sounds like AT&T is being a good company here instead of just painting all renewals black and white based solely on contract date. |
