Maybe an off-the-wall question, but The Chief would know: is there ANY CHANCE that misalignment over time can occur because of either satellite drift, or changes in the Earth's orbit?

I think for example the sun is setting higher in the West this year than it used to...

I know you mean well but I got a chuckle out of the "setting higher". Kind of contradictory.
It's all Washington's fault anyway. Now they are messing with the universe.
