 | U-Verse Phase II rollouts - post if you have it Trying to get a feel for how Phase II (DVR scheduling from any STB) is rolling out across the country.
If you have it, please post your State and City but no need for double posts in the same area. |
|
 | Sorry if this is considered a double post since I posted about it last week but I got the new upgrade in Austin Texas. There was a weird double notification in that I got an update notice on screen last week and another today. I know I'm in the test area (A big portion of AT&T labs that handles U-verse is in Austin apparently) so that may be it. |

 | reply to rambler358 Posts over on the u-talk forums indicate that the Phase II rollout is coming westward. A poster from Palmdale, CA indicated he's got the new firmware, as well as a couple others.
So post here if you've gotten it! |

I got it, the interface is lightly different. I hit record and I can record from my Non DVR box I don't know how to stop it... I can not pause live TV. |
|
 | reply to rambler358 There is also another change. When I was trying to get my IR Blaster to work with the box I found a hidden menu it was a menu of the zoom level and SAP.
They have revealed that menu in place of the od toggle button. Hitting zoom/Enter when not doing another operation will bring up this zoom/SAP menu. |

 | reply to rambler358 Simi Valley CA 93063 got it this morning! |
|
 | reply to rambler358 Replied on another thread zip 60805 got it, but then when I went to my neighbor's across the street the update has not gone through (I even unplugged the RG and all STB (since they were having TV problems)).
So, I can now say, err type, parts of Evergreen Park (60805) have it |

| reply to rambler358 One thing I noticed about the update when you hit favorites and are on anything other then you local stations. It actually goes to the station your viewing.
Where before favorites would be on any station but the station your watching. Unless it was a local station. It behaves like the guide always did. |

1-Channels seem to change more quickly than before. Maybe this is due to another change/upgrade in network. Also the system info screens have additional information.
2-The "skip" button seems to work a little bit more smoothly than the previous (downgrade from instant) skip function.
BTW- I don't believe that being able to pause live TV from non-dvr stb will ever be implemented (at least with 2SD/2HD profile) since it would mean that if two people were watching an HD program on different sets, then a third show could not be recorded. |
