It must be rolling out really slow because we haven't gotten it yet. As of this morning, the menus were still the old blue. |

| reply to rambler358 Got it in Orange (92865), CA a couple days ago. I've got 5 total STBs. My daughters bugged the hell out of me about not being able to manipulate recordings from their STBs. They got spoiled with that feature when we had Dish Network. Now they're happy. Thanks AT&T!
Anyone know if and/or when AT&T will allow sub-accounts the ability to control the DVR from the Internet? |

| reply to rambler358 Phase 2 been a long time coming. We don't have it here in Coral Gables, FL as of this morning.
Some people don't seem to understand that if you can record from a remote set top box (RSTB), then you essentially have play/pause/rewind for live TV. It is a few extra steps, but it works.
I actually had been bringing my laptop into the RSTB room to watch TV. I just went to the uverse website and clicked RECORD on whatever channel we were watching. Then i went to RECORDED shows and started playback. Now they have the UVERSE app on the iphone/ipod so i just use that instead.
I don't understand how AT&T can advertise up to 7 or 8 RSTB when there are only 4 streams available....... |

| reply to rambler358 SECOND update...
So, after the first update I noticed on the channel guide that some of the info was missing. I still received the signal and could watch the programs, but there was no station or program info. I did a system restart by holding in the power button for a while and...lo and behold I saw the gears and the download progress bar. Hmmm. After it finished this d/l and restarted all the channel info was visible, but I once again had to go into the Uverse menu to reset the screen aspect back to 1080i in order to return to the quality HD picture. Any info on this 'second' update??? The first one had shown up on our second TV so that we could control all aspects of the DVR, so I'm wondering what this one did. -- "What we do in life echoes in eternity." |
