One thing to keep in mind, which may work to someone's advantage, is that flights TO Florida right now from the North/Northeast (and usually through the summer) are historically cheaper than FROM Florida at this time of year...due to all the snowbirds and "transplants" coming home for the summer. There've been a few times when I've been able to score 1 way tickets down from "points North" for as little as $29-$49 one way. Maybe they figure if you drive one of their cars from Miami to Jacksonville that one car is that much further north than it otherwise would have been. I would suspect dropping the car off at the same location would defeat the purpose of the deal.
