I just ordered in one of these little brutes.

I'm planning to run Opensuse 11.1 on it, natch, but I'd feel I was wasting all that power. Already plan to use it as the main server on my network as print and file server, but I'm curious if I should virtualize my OS and run a few others simultaneously under VMware. Any suggestions on how to effectively utilize all that power effectively from the get go? |

I am jealous! A real 64bit multicore machine like that, I would definitely take the leaning opportunity for making things a Xen Virtual Machine.

@look.ca | So keeping aside 300 gigs for a home partition, which other OSes would you recommend putting on this box? I'm thinking Suse and XP for sure. What else would be a good candidate for this machine? Maybe FreeBSD? Any other suggestions? |
