Fronteir unless given free stimulus money won't further DSL in WV. VZ has not upgraded the last areas for dsl because to remote to expensive, not enough customers. Vz would have brought FIOS to WV's more densely populated metro areas. If deal goes through big winner Comcrap,fronteir aka 2 cans and a string will raise rates,will have far worse service than vz has now. 40% of wv vz workers retiring between now and next yr.fronteir will be slow to replace if at all. fronteir will go same route as fairpoint, teetering on bankruptcy as line loss to cable and cell depletes them |
