| What's this red line under some author names? Is this a new feature? I see a red line under some author names in the Security forum. It seems to be under those I have shared IMs with recently. | |

| Re: What's this red line under some author names? When does it appear though? Only for people you have echanged IMs with in the past how many days? I don't see it on even buddies if I haven't, in the last day or two, sent them an IM. I don't understand the purpose. Plus, how long before it disappears? Do you have to send or receive an IM at least once a week to keep the line there? It doesn't make sense to me and doesn't seem useful. If the line was under all names that could be useful but just under certain names...I don't get it.
Maybe it is supposed to appear under all names and my browser isn't doing it?

It's this particular version of Fx evidently trying to be ultra helpful.  I checked on a virtual machine that has Fx 3 and it is like you said I don't see the line unless I hover over the name and every line is green (my unvisited link color).
On my Fx 1.5 is where I first noticed the "red" line that actually is a purplish color more than red and that color is my chosen link color for visited links. Somehow, in Fx 1.5 it must be connecting exchanging recent IMs with the color of the line. It is not doing it consistently and shouldn't do it at all. (Yes, I know it is an old version of Fx).
