question

Someone explain this to me.

I bought two 3G iPhones exactly two weeks after they came out. (We upgraded from the first gen iPhone, signed new contract)

I spend $150 + a month on service.

The AT&T site is saying I'm eligible in Jan 2010? This doesn't make sense. Literally, 2 weeks after they were out, when the lines at the Apple stored died down, I bought ours.

I want to upgrade again to the GS and sign another contract, but AT&T wants me to wait 6 months? I thought customers who've had the 3G phone nearly since it was released could upgrade?

Update : I can update, but it's not their **BEST** upgrade pricing. I'd still have to pay $400 per phone to upgrade . . .and still have a contract.

If I wait until Jan, then I can upgrade for $200
