ALL hunt group analog lines from Telus do the SAME thing.
Anyone who thinks you can assign CID on an Analog line using Asterisk or whatever is WRONG! It's the Telco that assigns the CID.
I haven't done it in awhile but if you want to pick your hunt group line numbers Telus may try charge you more.....maybe not now that they have competition.
If you want 4 or less phone lines your going to get analog lines with multiple numbers which is what Shaw is competing with.
All a hunt group is are multiple phone lines/numbers. The difference is that the Telco forwards incoming calls to line 2 if line 1 is busy, line 3 if line 1,2 are busy and so on. Outgoing on line 2 will NOT have the same CID as outgoing on line 1 because it's exactly the same as outgoing on a different phone line. It has always been that way with Telus. |
