| [iPhone] MMS on the 3GS
»www.macrumors.com/2009/06/08/ata···the-u-s/ So, after reading this report on MacRumors.com, I thought I could just call up at&t and ask them to manually enable MMS on my iPhone.
»www.apple.com/iphone/how-to/#mes···messages Apple's website states that there should be an option to enable or disable MMS Messages under Settings, Messages, but it's not there.
So does this mean we will have to wait probably 3 months for a 3.1 firmware to be released with this feature enabled? |

| reply to Mike00 You can actually download a pre-release baseband update which allows MMS. I'd be wary of doing so in case they decide to disable phones using it at a certain date. -- THIS IS SPENCER. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED - I HAVE JOE. RETURNING TO BASE. |

I realize that ATT wasn't ready. I was just suprised that the MMS feature isn't even there in the 3.0 software like it shows in the Guided Tour. |

| reply to Mike00 Those options are shown or hidden based on the carrier file that is on the phone. The MMS & tethering features are in the firmware, but are just hidden.
You can download the new ipcc file from the net and install it, which will make the options appear. You still have to get MMS enabled on the AT&T side.
It will also break your visual voicemail. |
