New button on every remote: "Not interested" ... after the first few seconds (5? 10?) of every commercial, you can hit the "Not interested" button to skip the rest of the commercial. (Maybe even set an auto-skip for certain commercials that keep repeating and repeating and...)
How about a "billy mays and anthony sullivan" buttons!
