| reply to Chaser said by Chaser :Well, the price differs from state to state. So, you just might be lucky. Furthermore, the person I spoke to said that the prices were "tentative," but I didn't ask for an explantion. Yeah, we are in different markets, so I shouldn't jump the gun. I'll just have to be one of many DSLR readers that clog the VZ phone lines on Monday. |

My guess is earlier adopters will have a longer wait that those that stood on line for the iPhone 3G last year.
Good luck with getting through. |

| reply to martinburger said by martinburger :I currently am "grandfathered" in the 30/5, would they be able to give me 30/15? If 20/5 -> 20/15 then would 30/5 -> 30/15? There is no 30/15 plan. You can only switch to one of the tiers mentioned in the first post. |

I have 20X5 and my billing is correct. I am not going to risk it and I really don't need the speed increase. |

1 edit | reply to The Folsom Currently, I'm subscribed to the Triple Play Plan, Good Bundle. My internet speed is 10/2 and I pay $99/month. For $10 more, I can subscribe to the Better Bundle and receive more channels as well as a faster internet speed of 20/5.
However, I can wait until Monday, request that I receive the upgrade for $10 more, and receive a speed of 15/5 and no extra channels.
So, let's see:
Upgrade now for +$10/month: internet speed: 20/5 53 more HD channels
Upgrade Monday for +$10/month: internet speed: 15/5 no extra channels
For some of us, this isn't an upgrade, it's a downgrade. |

| reply to Chaser said by Chaser :Over here in Edmonds, WA, I'm currently subscribed to the Triple Play Plan for $99/month. My internet speed is 10/2. I called them and asked how much it would cost to get the upgrade to 15/5, and they said that it will cost an extra $10/month. I was so hoping that it was going to be for free, oh well. I'm gonna go for that and try for the netbook, too. I don't mind extending the contract as I am very satisfied with the service.
Best internet and bundle I've ever had, with more product for less than I was paying before. -- I started out with nothing. Today I am proud to say I still have most of it. |

1 edit | reply to SoCalDude So they raised the rates and increased speeds. They need to do better than that if they expect to add customers in competitive areas. I don't think any average net users would take the lowest fios package for $110+$20 in fees when they can get the cablevision triple play for $90+ less then $10 in fees).
Around here cablevision has the goods and they can hold their own against Fios. |

1 edit | reply to donjuan2002 Bundle prices vary by market. Here in Tampa your bundle costs 79.99.
So far it isn't looking like Florida is getting any type of deal as was rumored. I would like the extra speed but not at $10+. At $5 I would have considered it.
EDIT: Actually looks like I jumped to quick and the best bundle drops by $10 which will be nice if I comparing them correctly. |
