reply to lilhurricane I went up years ago. For anyone over 6' tall (I'm 6'4"), the climb is very uncomfortable. The stairs are narrow and cramped making it a tough climb. Once you're in the crown, the view is nice but not worth the climb, IMHO. I also went on a hot summer day and the temperature inside the statue was at least 90, making it all that much worse.
