They must have needed help badly<br><br>quote me"all lights sans power"  i meant that all light went out except for the power.<br><br>currently, 24 hours later, i have not had one disconnect.  So things are looking up.  I will do a speed test later on today(about 8 hours from now)<br><br>thanks all.]]></description>

Just for clarity on the subject, I placed my little digital camera on the devices after a couple of disconnects. Unsure if there is power being lost to it.<br><br>it boots back up and connects almost right away.  I have turned off 2 of 4 computers to narrow down interference.<br><br>all power and ethernet lines have been moved to decrease electromechanical interference(or at least lessen).]]></description>

Are the connections firm?<br>If it's losing sych, does it re-sych after you reboot it? Check the phone cable going to wall, is it damaged at all? How long is it (needs to be less than 10 ft)? Are the connections at both ends firm?]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[<A HREF="/useremail/u/1652852"><b>telusdavid</b></A> : ok, they sent me a new replacement modem of the same model.  same thing happens.  shuts down.  so they sent me the thomson single port modem. arg.  it does the same thing.<br><br>could something from one of the computers cause the set to reset?<br><br>is there something on the line that could cause it to reset?<br><br>I should also mention that they increased the overhead limit so that it wouldn't top out. I don't think it should be dropping us like that.  Sometimes dropping 6 times in 3 minutes. arg<br><br>Is this set buggy?  <br>are there settings to change to get 'stable'<br>Is there something that will stop the modem from doing this?<br><br>any other thoughts on the set, let me know.  I want my old reliable dsl modem back.  It never dropped me.]]></description>
