@co.uk

I have a DGN2000 and am having a whole bunch of issues, the main one being terrible wifi performance, especially for my flatmates using Macs. Whilst connection is always strong, we regularly get breaks and stalls in throughput. Ethernet connection to my Vista & Windows7 PCs is superb but wifi to my HP2730p Vista Laptop has throughput stalls too.

The signal strength is always at a constant 99% and Vistumbler hasn't come up with any obivious possibilities like neighbours all using the same channel, etc. My old Speedtouch does not have any issues with wifi throughput (alas it's crap at most other things)

I'm no wifi expert but it seems to me that if the Speedtouch wifi throughput is good, then there's something up with either the Netgear settings (DNS maybe) or the device itself. I've tried resets, firmware upgrades and even DGTeam firmware but nothing seems to fix the issue.

Probably unassociated but might indicate a dodgy router are..
* UPnP routing table often has double entries
* IP reservations don't always work - pinging 192.168.0.10 will return results for 192.168.0.3
* DGTeam firmware (0850) causes major throughput issues across the board on standard settings and and no amount of tweaking makes it any better.
