Yea, I am using a router to handle PPPoE. However, last night, I had it connected directly to my PC and was using a new network connection on the PC to handle PPPoE. Tonight, when I get home, I will connect directly to the modem again, reset it, then try it again. Thank you.
said by Mountaineer1 :That's only if the Modem is in Bridge mode. I was just suggesting that, since you weren't able to connect to the modem's GUI. If you have a router, and it is handling the PPPoE authentication, then the modem is probably in Bridge mode. |

| In that 8 hour period, you moved about 34000 packets from the internet into your machine. Of those, you got 9964 error packets. That is probably what caused your modem to downgrade your max speed from 6016 to 3008. You need to determine what is causing that.
There are several FAQ articles in the AT&T fora that discuss what causes these errors, how to determine what is causing your problem, and how to fix the problem. |
