McSummation : In that 8 hour period, you moved about 34000 packets from the internet into your machine. Of those, you got 9964 error packets. That is probably what caused your modem to downgrade your max speed from 6016 to 3008. You need to determine what is causing that.

There are several FAQ articles in the AT&T fora that discuss what causes these errors, how to determine what is causing your problem, and how to fix the problem.

Pay for Elite but always drops back to Pro speed

dishfish : OK experts, I need some advice here...

I pay for Elite. I get about 5.1 mbps then it will drop off to about 2.5 mbps. I called support, they walked me through the script (I hate that) so they had me unplug modem and router, then plug modem back in then router. OK that gets me back to 5 mbps. The next day, I get up, its back to 2.5 mbps.

What can I do to get it to hold at least 5 mbps? Any info is appreciated.

Thanks!
