Theyr'e going all 2.0, 3.0.<br>beyond taht those units were/are notoriously bad.  They go weak that power supply connection so drop due to that (there was a recall at one point), & they have lousy shielding so get ingress issues from anything/everything]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[<A HREF="/useremail/u/0"><b>anon</b></A> : I recently saw a used RCA cable modem (model # DCM245R) for $5.99 at my local salvation army store and am wondering if this is a good basic (first time) cable modem for use with comcast?<br><br>It looks to be in very good shape and comes with the software install disk.<br><br>I noticed it is on the comcast compatible modem list, it's only 6 bucks, so I figure it's worth the gamble. <br><br>Anyone who has used the modem and can comment on if it's a good modem or not?<br><br>Thanks very much.]]></description>
