Can't say for any other providers, but if you're on a Comcast connection don't bother. Theyr'e going all 2.0, 3.0. beyond taht those units were/are notoriously bad. They go weak that power supply connection so drop due to that (there was a recall at one point), & they have lousy shielding so get ingress issues from anything/everything
