Re: [FireFox] Firefox 3.5 - Final

a Quite happy with Version 3.5 with the exception of couple of minor complaints.

1. My TabMixPlus appears to react negatively with my Tabs. Close Tab button disappears and so does Open a New Tab button. I've disabled it and can live with it.

2. Under load it takes, what seems like an eternity to load, but so did every other version of FF, at least for me. So I am used to it.

Tested 3.5 on 2 Vista systems and on Win7 RC and other than 1 addon not working yet, everything working fine. Speed is improved over 3.0.11 and pages snap to the screen almost instantly - even my MyYahoo page which is loaded with tons of customized options.

P.S.>> the new feature that saves text typed in to a form in the browser if you terminate the browser by mistake works as claimed. I tested a post in dev/null forum; terminated the browser; restarted it and all the text typed in to the forum post was still there when the browser was restarted.

Thanks for help JMorlan, also.

Reset it to Default and it now says 3.5..

Yes, wierd. User Agent String in about: config

[att=1]

The .exe shows this:

[att=2]
In about:config reset that string to default and restart Firefox.

P.S.>> Isn't there a useragent addon? Maybe you should disable it if you are using that addon. »https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/59

1 key addon not working yet - Google Gears. This addon supports Offline mode for both Gmail & Google Reader where the emails and stories can be backed up locally on your PC.

All the rest of my addons work. Google developer says they are working on it, but waited until Mozilla actually delivered the full release of 3.5.

I had to go to the developer's sites to get compatible versions for two of my extensions, but both work just fine.

Definitely final.

Now just to wait for the plugins I use to get updated... I might be waiting a while though.

It has now been released as a final. The digital signature has the same time stamp as RC3.

Seems like a nice improvement.

The speed tweaks are unchanged for v3.5+ or the official once available.

Grail Knight - Perhaps I missed it in another thread but will your 3.x speed tweaks stickied up top this forum work well with the 3.5 final?

I have been running your tweaks since you first released them and have become a fan. No FF install happens without them.
