| [HD] Sacramento analog reclamation?
I don't get the paper bills (online billing) so I didn't see this first hand, but according to another guy who does... In the June 2009 Comcast billing insert 'Comcast California' at page 9 it states: "100 HD channels by the end of the year."
Is that true? Is Project Cavalry finally coming to Sacramento? I didn't think they would do it until the Bay Area is complete, which was supposed to take until the end of 2009, which would mean 2010 for Sacto. |

| In our area you can go to the web site, under manage my account, then view paper statement and it shows everything that is on the written statement that would be sent through the mail. You can even go back several months (possibly 6) This is the central Il area. |

| Yeah see that makes sense for you since you're in the Bay Area. This is the first I've heard of the plan for analog reclimation in Sac.
I'm hoping a Comcast tech or at least someone else in Sacramento can confirm that it is indeed happening in 2009. |

2 edits | I was the one who posted the question about the June insert in my Sacramento comcast billing which states: "100 HD channels by the end of the year!" This was not on the bill itself but rather on small 12 page insert called "Comcast California." I phoned comcast today and the tech confirmed that comcast is proceeding with the analog reclamation following the digital conversion. He confirmed that there would be 100 channels by the end of the year. Of course, I will believe it when I see it. For an article on how comcast is doing it in New Jersey see:

| reply to SpHeRe31459 strange.. Just spoke to a local CSR mgr yesterday and asked about the digital conversion, (wanted a DTA for the new outlet we're getting) and she said they they aren't even starting on it in Sacto for another year or so. I wouldn't hold my breath..
YMMV |

1 edit | See that's what I thought. What I had heard before was the Bay Area is transitioning by the end of this year. So Sacto wouldn't be until 2010
I hope they accelerate their plans here because Sacramento is behind the rest of the region in getting HD channels. |
