Gspot didn't work, wouldn't read the contents of the ISO, or at least provide any relevent information. VLC I'd already tried, doesn't give you any information anywhere that I can see that indicates PAL or NTSC; if you check codec info it sometimes lists the framerate and you can guess based on that, but most of the time it doesn't.

I'd like something a little quicker than mounting the image.
