My Mom came in last week. We went Friday to Avery Island. We did the Tabasco tour which is free and pretty neat. Then after that we did the drive around the island. I think it is called the jungle tour or something like that. It was, I believe, $6 a person. I enjoyed that. There are several hundred egrets in bird city nesting. That was pretty cool. I am originally from Eastern tip of TN close to VA and NC and that is where my Mom lives. It was fun to compare and contrast the land and vegetation of the two different regions. Just seeing all the different vegetation and gardens was well worth the trip. There were a lot of gators running around to see also. |
