| reply to adisor19 It's not meant to pass, it's meant to be a fall election issue. Nothing more nothing less. On top of that, for those that understand how law enforcement works in Canada, in order to tap private communications like that you need a thing called a "privacy act warrant" which is nearly impossible to get, because the police have to be able to prove that all accessible avenues of information gathering have already been expended.
Besides, you should be more worried that the companies themselves will abuse it. Much like they have in Europe and the EU, selling information to the highest bidder. |
