Re: Westell 327 xbox issues please help! If you are getting an error message about MTU settings, it is probably spurious.
There isn't anything to set on the 327w for MTU. If the 327w is now working for other internet activity, then its setup should be suitable for Xbox. -- AT&T dsl; Speedstream 5100b modem; openSuSE 11.0; firefox 3.0.11 |

| I don't remember the details, because I am not an xbox user. But there was a time that people were seeing MTU error messages, when the cause was unrelated to MTU. I think it may have been a problem with the servers being down for maintenance.
Normally MTU is an end-point issue. My DSL service uses PPPoE, so I set the MTU to 1492. But I don't set that in the 327w modem; I set it in the interface configuration of my operating system.
I suggest you check whether normal web surfing works properly. If not, then it is possible that something is still amiss in your ISP settings for your account, perhaps trapping you in a walled garden until they are fixed. -- AT&T dsl; Speedstream 5100b modem; openSuSE 11.0; firefox 3.0.11 |
