BobbyS : Thanks for the replies. I was doing the reset correctly. I was not able to connect via 192.168.2.1 or 192.168.254.254. I am able to get into both of the modems by using the suggested technique of setting my nic to 10.0.0.2 and doing the arp and mac address routine. This worked on both modems. Unfortunately, when I attempt to change the host info to a standard like 192.168.0.1 and reboot, I am locked out again. I have been playing with these modem at work without a dsl line, just the network connection and a pc.

BobbyS : I have 2 Speedstream 5200 that I cannot log into. I did the re-set thing. Have tried 192.168.254.254, 192.168.2.1, 192.168.2.2., 10.0.0.1, "http://speedstream", all with no joy. They have the following part numbers: 060-e240-033 & 060-e240-014. I believe they are former Bell units and not sure if both are functional, but at least one of them was used recently. I have another older 5100 and no problems accesing the web interface.
Any other options to get into the web interface ?
Thanks
