With Vonage... once in 7 years.

I had Vonage for 4 years and never had an issue with my alarm system and NextAlarm. I later moved to a different
VOIP provider and still have no issues. I never bought the VOIP adapter for NextAlarm and still have not.

For me 2 times in 7 years... - I am running my Alarm (not compatible with Netalarms ABN) over Vonage since then we no issues. Everytime I test it works fine. The two times I had a false alarm (flaky motion sensor and flaky door contact) it worked fine...

And being new to Vonage, how often does that happen where the VOIP service itself goes down without the Internet being the culprit (so the ABN would stay connected)? Just trying to see if it's worth the money since it seems to work fine the way it is and the VOIP has been flawless since we got it.

The reason is that any glitch with the VOIP service will render the alarm system useless at that time.

Just got Vonage and switched our ADT Safewatch alarm system to Nextalarm. I have the ABN adapter on order but it's been backordered for over 2 weeks now. In the meantime, I hooked up the ADT panel to Vonage and the alarms, arming, disarming are being reported without any problems according to the alarm logs on Nextalarm's website. Since it seems to be running ok, is there any reason not to cancel the ABN adapter and just use the VOIP service?
