Looking at the floater pics as of this writing, it looks like the upper convection was blown off by Easterly shear, it is a bit unusual.  Once the top was off, it looks like there is a fairly well defined (uncovered) low level circulation at W96.8 N22.8 (as of the 0445UTC shot). I'd expect it to be in Mexico by the time the sun comes up. ]]></description>
