| I have no clue if they are still working on it, but there was a MiniMo project by Mozilla.
Skyfire is better for viewing flash content when other browsers have a hard time rendering those pages correctly. I was able to watch a streaming movie on my WM5 device using skyfire, but the bigger problem was battery life. You might be able to watch one, and your battery is dead.
I have Opera Mobile on my WM5, but I've been using it very infrequently lately since I only use it over wifi anymore. Mostly for traveling... A long time ago I tried one of their alpha builds of MiniMo, it was a bit rough, but it works. Skyfire seems to specialized to be a normal browser. -- My hourly rates: $25 per hour. $35 per hour if you want to watch. $45 per hour if you want to help. $75 per hour if you tried to fix it, and failed. $125 per hour if you called tech support, and didn't fix the issue while making things worse |

| reply to Vamp Which Opera you're running?
I'm using beta Opera Mobile 9.7 on WM6.5 and it's great IMO - and that's a big thing because I hate their stupid desktop Opera browser and even more the arrogant company behind it.
Alternatively I'm using Skyfire more and more so it might end up replacing Opera Mobile as the default browser on my phone. -- [BQUOTE=[user=bicker]]Waaaa waaaa waaaa. | reply to Vamp SkyFire is finally available for devices which are not cellular phones. I'm able to start it on my iPAQ hx2495b, but it crashes when I try to enter an URL. It seems like it lacks some memory.
So I use the latest Opera Mobile beta. Minimo sucks now that Opera got better. On my cell phone I use the Java version of Opera (Mini), works pretty well but no animation (useful for weather radars).
I tried Fennec (Firefox Mobile), but it' far from ready and it was waaaaaay to slow.
Oh and there still Internet Explorer, which can be useful to download one of the other browsers... |
