Re: [Speed Problem] DSL 2+ Connection Issues

said by remixnzza:

But about 2 weeks ago, my internet slowed to a crawl. After a call to tech support, the internet bacame usable, but I'm still not receiving the full 1.5 Mbps that I pay for. I seem to be getting 768 Kbps.

I just called tech support like 15 mins ago, and they said they'd send me a new modem.

Right now, my modem syncs fine, but its not getting full speed.
A new DSL Modem will not change the Port Rate settings/Sync Rate settings at the DSLAM. If your current DSL Modem only syncs at 768 Kbps, your new DSL Modem will also sync at 768 Kbps. DSL Modems do not control the DSL Sync Rate/Port Rate as that is set and controlled remotely by the DSLAM. Changing Modems will not change that.
