mike5026 : Any company that you want your name changed requires verification they cannot just do that over the phone. So if you go to the office you can show them proof and easily change the misspelled name.

Duchess44 : So are you saying that when they were here, in my home, and I signed my paperwork and read everything and the name was spelled correctly then. And when I gave them my check with my name on it...they couldn't get it right? And you're expecting them to get it right when I waste my gas and time to go see them face to face again?

Duchess44 : Ok, I recieved my first bill as a new Comcast customer today. I noticed my last name is misspelled really bad. I called to get it fixed and was told that I would have to visit the local office to get it fixed. Really? Never had that happen before. I have always been able to call and straighten things like that out.

She told me it was for security reasons. What?? Whatever. I said it doesn't bother me in the least..it's your account/billing information that will be screwed.

Something tells me this is the beginning of a very short relationship.
