Re: Metro Detroit Phone Issues

Any suggestions
Remove all phones and devices (Fax machines ...) from the telephone line. Plug a single phone directly into the modem, preferably a corded phone. Do this until you find a faulty device. If all phones work at the modem, try a phone in each wall outlet to see if you have a faulty wall jack. Also, the phone line can only carry so much voltage, if you have too many phones, there won't be enough power for them. Line splitters can also cause the exact issues you have detailed. This will rule out any of your equipment.

Then call customer service for a truck roll.

Only 1 phone plugged directly into modem. It is not cordless. I have tried 3 phones now and still get the same issue, as does a friend of mine who lives down the block from me (roughly 600 feet or less). His stopped doing it about a week ago and that is when mine started. Guess it is time for a house call from WOW
