Very strange indeed. You say a vcr can cause aeronautical problems? Would you mind elaborating with what you know about this?

Utica, MI		 It's called RF interference. He has signal leaking out from his house. WOW wants to come in to see where it's at and fix it. Otherwise, they'll just disconnect him. The FCC demands that the cable companies do random checks for leaks.

Most people don't directly hookup their cable directly to their TV. They could be going through splitters, VCRs, etc.. Common hookup is "Cable -> VCR -> TV".
A cable could possibly leak if there's an uncapped cable input/output. Or maybe bad shielding.
