Re: [DD-WRT] Tx rate for dd-wrt thank you for answering...just one more question. What is the optimal signal/ noise ratio. For example....for this laptop (wireless) with the router set at 35mW...the wireless signal is averaging -60 and the noise is at -92.

But you have to count for all interference around you. That is going to give you a performance hit as well. I range in the 48-66 dBm for my 2 devices in use. It is always switching in between that. But the laptop is in the next room and the Wii is in the living room. That is fine though for 54mb connection. Channel wise. Use this program »www.metageek.net/products/inssider and walk around the inside/outside of the house. You can then see what channels are taken and what you have to work with for a selection. |
