Have you ever checked the modem diagnostics page: »192.168.0.1/diags.htm during a connection drop to see which tests show fail?
This seems to be some sort of authentication failure. You might also see if your router can hold the connection more reliably as a test by placing the modem in "PPP on computer" mode and entering your ID/PW into the router.
If the router works reliably, then your modem has a problem. If both drop the connection, then AT&T has a problem and you would need to post a thread in AT&T Direct: » AT&T Direct |
