Re: Recommend ISP for Toronto

I'm interested in that too but located in Mississauga, ON. I'm too far from CO so ADSL is not an option for me. What about wireless/cable alternative? I found so far Look wireless and 3web cable. I still have 2-3 weeks to decide where to go...

How exactly does being in Mississauga automatically mean that you are far from the CO? Mississauga is a very large, populated city and and has large amounts of equipment.

There are always areas that receive poor DSL service. There are also many areas in Toronto that receive sub-par DSL service. This does not mean that people in all parts of Toronto should not subscribe.

Also of note: When potential new customers ask people in a particular area what type of speeds they receive, this is pretty much pointless as there is no guarantee that you will be connected to the CO using the same method/route, even if the other person is your next door neighbor.

To some extent, the only way to know what speed you are going to connect at is to actually subscribe to the service.
