Huh. Guess this means the residential areas closest to the highway will have that option first... but I'm not sure if that's worth the tradeoffs of living closer to the highway.

I noticed subcontractors stringing what looked like fiber up past our office to the neighborhood(s) we're looking at last year, in the "middle of town a mile or two north of the highway" area, but that's probably for U-Verse or some special unobtainium deployment.
