My on the road testing.

Here is from my home town driving north into Kansas City.

EV-DO REV-A

My only laptop is my Powerbook G4 so speedtest.net is a bit slow so download and ping times might not always be the best.

edit; look at these ping times in downtown KC. 79ms to Dallas!

Just hit Topeka KS. I have not lost signal yet, still Rev-A.

On my iPhone, still have full 3G.

Surfing has been fast all the way here, very low ping times (under 100ms to most sites)

p.s. I wont be posting at every city, just once a few hours till i fall asleep, work all last night

edit; now in the middle of Kansas and getting some really good speeds still. I have yet to lose my Rev-A signal but lost my 3G signal for my iPhone back in Topeka.

edit; Just noticed that my routing has changed also, im now routed right to dallas and not to kansas city first.

I must say, Sprint rules. I never lost my Rev-A signal till i got to Colorado and on my iPhone, EDGE all the way here with 10% of the time i had no signal at all.

Im north of Colorado Springs in the mountains and speeds are great.

Quick update, Sprint maps are not very upto date. Most towns have Rev-A just in town then back to 1xRTT. Where i can't get Rev-A from Sprint, if i enable roaming, most of the other time i can get Rev-0. So far, still very happy with Sprint. Been using hotel Wi-Fi when ever i can just in case i am roaming.
