webcamxp

I am trying to set up a webcam using the software webcamxp. I have a dsl modem motorola 2210-06 and a DI-624. Using xphome as a os. I have modified the modem as suggested in another post so only the di-624 is acting as a router. I have set up a static IP address , my ports are open and I can access the cam on my home network but cannot broadcast to the net. I am not sure if ATT dsl can work with a static IP. I would like some suggestions or if anyone has the same software. I am not real techinical and need simple instructions
Thanks

Re: webcamxp

Are you calling the correct public IP address of the router, ie. the IP assigned by AT&T? Get that by going to »www.whatismyip.com from any PC on your home LAN. If the IP is dynamic, highly probable, look at using a free service like No-IP.com or DynDNS to map a fully qualified domain name [FQDN] to the AT&T DHCP assigned public IP. You would then call using the FQDN. You DI-624 may support that natively. Check the users guide for help.

By the way here are the required port assignments for port forwarding. Verify you have them open and that they are not blocked by AT&T by going to »www.canyouseeme.org and run the test.

This is probably more appropriate on the BBR Networking forum by the way...
