I agree with Tennis channel on this. I do not want or need a "sorts package" as I do not follow the sports they group together. Tennis Channel should be like Versus IMHO.

There are 2 types of Ads on TV. Those with National reach and those with Local reach. CV has control ONLY over the Local Ads.

Why is that ad on SiFi channel for Dr. Who on BBCA if Cablevison don't carry the channel?

Cablevision is willing to carry Tennis Channel if they can put it in the Sports Pak, but Tennis Channel wants to be in iO. Neil Best of Newsday reported that a few months ago.

Tis the Law.
Cablevision shall have neither BBCA, nor Tennis Channel.
The CV Gods have spoken thus:(

ch 104 is BBCW, probably just a mistake
no word of cv carrying BBCA anywhere

The ad was on the SiFi channel for Dr. Who on BBCA. At the bottom of the ad was a listing saying "CableVision Channel 104".

If we applied the criteria mentioned above in all cases then we would have nothing; i.e. what you're saying is that BBCA is like every other cable channel. For example: "can someone tell me what's so good about Speed Channel, I can see auto racing on Fox if I want it", or "can someone tell me what's so good about ESPN, I don't really care about sports and what I do like is on ABC".

Can someone tell me what is so good about BBC america? I have it with comcast on channel 114, and I never watch it. I dunno maybe I dont care for it since I never watch it, but they do not play anything else on there except for everything Gordon Ramsey. I would take all of cv hd channels tho in exchange comcast will give you bbca
Well I want it for Top Gear (probably the most popular automotive show in the world) and Torchwood (a cult Sci-Fi hit). And I love britcoms.
The major problem with BBCA is that except for special events (Such as the Week of July 20 showing of Torchwood Season 3-Children of Earth which airs on BBC UK the week of July 5) the shows they air are anywhere from 6 months to 1 year old (ie: They finally start to Air Season X when BBC UK is airing Season X+1). I will ignore their Doctor Who reruns since I think SciFi Channel has first US Rights to them. I'd rather get BBCA but since CV refuses to carry it, I just get the shows via BitTorrent the day they air on BBC UK. BBCA is like NBC with their "New" Show Merlin (which is a 2008 BBC UK show that already completed its 13-episode run last year).
Be that as it may, having BBC America is better than not it.

Its one of those channels that everyone foams at the mouth for because we'll never get it.. But then when you do get it (like when I switched to Dish Network for a while), you bore of it after about a month.

Comcast of New Jersey (Union II)- Only 39 HD channels and paying for what seems like over 100 hd channels.

I saw the same ad on Sifi Friday and noticed that it said Do Who would be at 9pm Saturday. It also said on Cablevision Channel 104 BBCA (not 109), but this is a mistake. I don't know who is making the ad, but I wish they would get it right.
What is confusing whoever made the ad is that while CV 104 IS a BBC America Channel, it is BBC International [BBCINT] (ie: BBC News) not BBC America [BBCA] the BBC Entertainment Channel.
