I don't believe it's any different that what's historically been collected via the phone connection - which is minimal and as sonofjay  points out can be controlled from your account control panel at directv.com
They definitely do not suggest anything. "DirecTV Cinema" downloads movies to a portion of your DVRs hard drive that is reserved for DirecTV's use - but that "push" is universal - everyone gets the same stuff - there's nothing personalized about it.
