Speedtest to Chicago showed 4-5MBit speed, speedtesting to either coast showed less than 1MBit.

I believe it was only that late afternoon to the evening. After about 11:00 or so, I didn't notice any more issues.

I was seeing it in the form of cable TV blackouts initially. Of course, then I checked the phone and internet connections and saw that my service was very intermittent. But, I didn't notice the problem as degraded. It was either on or off.

The CSR mentioned only Illinois and Columbus as problem spots during my conversation with him.
