|  [BC] Telus, very slow and im not happy
im on telus high speed. not high speed lite, but high speed and my download speeds are shit (12kbs always, never higher).
i only have two systems connected to my 2wire router which is the current computer i have now and my PS3.
while on my PS3 i cannot be on the internet on my computer as it makes online play very uncomfortable and laggy and vice versa for the computer (slow load times when on ps3)
im not sure what the problem is. any help? |

First thing. Try plugging you're computer directly into the modem and do a speedtest (to rule out the router).
if that doesn't improve anything, call telus tech support and get a tech to take a look at it.. maybe you've got line issues? |

12kbs or 1200 kbps? 12 kbps is slower than dial up. Are you doing any downloading on your computer, while you are playing on the PS3? |

@telus.net | no im not downloading anything, and yes 12 KBS. i dont have a router i just have a 2wire gateway connected straight to my phone line which acts as a modem. =[ |

After I moved I had a problem like this, although I was getting .6mbit. It turned out I had damaged phone lines in the house and disconnecting the ones not in use fixed it.
If that is indeed the problem Telus will charge you to fix it. They only repair up to the demarc free of charge. |
