According to my calculations, you could pull 316 GB/month on a 1 mbit/sec line. -- Obama '08. Will help resolve the terrible broadband issues we have that put us so far behind other countries.

I believe 1 mbit/sec div 8 (bytes) div 8 (giga) times 3600 (sec/hour) times 24 (hours/day) times 30 (days/month) would give approx 316 GB/mo theoretical transfer throughput, so yes, it would be 24/7. -- Obama '08. I agree it can be done in theory, but we all that theory is just that. Now can I get my tin foil back ? I need it to keep the aliens out of my little underdeveloped brain.

It is not highly unlikely unless you are trying to say that a CC connection has such high overhead that it cannot be done. -- Obama '08. It is not highly unlikely unless you are trying to say that a CC connection has such high overhead that it cannot be done. When you run a program that can use a connection 24/7, it's usually torrents. And, can use both the upload and download connection at the same time. You have the potential to use your entire upload and download used. I know the upload isn't much on that tier, but still. It's enough to cover any overhead used in download. -- The day the child realizes that all adults are imperfect, he becomes an adolescent; the day he forgives them, he becomes an adult. If I were a junkie with NO life , it could be done. a GOOD majority of users will max out every second of every day. There are things called work and life that get in the way of pure downloading. Yes it is possible. Under "normal" circumstances unlikely though. Now about my tin foil .. do you still have it ? I think the aliens are invading my thoughts, I just thought about how good squirrel woul taste after being hit by a 95 Chevy Monte Carlo , well tenderized at least.

You do not have to be a "junkie" to want to use what you pay for. Especially if you could be an "abuser" even when using such a low tier as the economy one. Maybe we should look at the definition of "abuser" while looking for that tin foil hat you seem to be looking for. You could have an FTP queue running while being at work or doing other things, so you would not have to be staying in front of the computer 24/7. Your definition of having no life / work just by using a economy tier to its maximum potential is a bit odd to me. -- Obama '08.
