It's possible since there's 12Mbps profile...
sure, if you are one of the 19 people that can get it.
Well if you can get 10Mpbs... chances are you can get the 16Mpbs... Which is almost any Oslam.

they don't have to match price! they can charge whatever they want. it is your choice to subscribe to bell or not.

the bell people just plain lied to you rogers is 95GB and bell is 100GB

for 10$ less in price screw bell or goto teksavvy
200GB cost for 45$ ( taxes included)
1600 GB with MLPPP ( 55+8[static ip/mlppp]$ tax included)
700GB without MLPPP ( 55$)

Considering the OP stated he uses 20 GB, going to Teksavvy to get 200 GB seems worthless on that basis. Teksavvy can't offer him 10 Mbps speeds.

Please return to the Teksavvy fanboi forum!

'Customer Retention' Department

There is a not aggressively advertised department at Bell (and most other Telcom providers) called 'Customer Retention'.

It is sometimes hard to get a CR rep when you outright ask for one, but even if you are not already certain you wish to jump ship from Bell, you can still tell any rep you do get that you wish to cancel all of your Bell services, and they may magically transfer you to one at that point in the conversation.

You might have to challenge that first person to convince you to stay, or something like that, but it could be worth a try.

Also, first be sure to double check and write down all of the conditions / limits / features over at Rogers or wherever you might be thinking of going, so you can be sure whether anyone offers you any BS.

And decide whether you wish to risk any further contracts / bundling for the sake of price, and whether you are in any right now, which could have penalties for breaking them.

Cheers !

Re: Bell Won't Match Rogers' Revised Prices for 10 Mbps

but what do you need 10 megabit for that 5 megabit wont do
and i pay 45$ with taxes for hat 200GB cap that means i get double what bell offers for what 55$ bell charges ?
oh i can add 10$ to equal the bell cost and get what about 700GB even with the back end bell throttle maybe 800GB
add 4$ more and get MLPPP and go real hardcore for 1600GB ALL MONTH LONG DO AS YOU CAN UNLIMITED
SO
bell 100GB at 55$( is there hten taxes on this , what other bell fees ?)

---TSI
200GB cap - 5 megabit -45$ ( Taxes included)
700-800GB - 5 megabit unlimited - ( 55$ with taxes )
1600GB per line for MLPPP 5 megabit ( 55$ + 4 [another 4 will be charged in future see tsi forum])
----
So fo rsame price i am gettign without any MLPPP 7-8 times more bandwidth then ANY BELL USER.

its not about being a fan of anyhting its about what i am getitng for hte price that bell never can offer caus eof its polices and priciings and need ot keep executives on there yachts.

Re: Bell Won't Match Rogers' Revised Prices for 10 Mbps

Where did you get those teksavvy numbers?

Teksavvy is $30/month before dryloop charge for 200GB and $10 more for unlimited. Add $4 for MLPPP.

Just realized last night that they bumped my profile to 12 Mbps to make it a true 10 Meg line. Good looking out.

That was a mistake... You got lucky. The test centre is not in the habit of upgrading a profile to 12m so one can get a true 10M.

I'm not a Teksavvy fanboi, I just happen to be with them...

I pay $35.70/month for 200Gb, unthrottled, with NO CONTRACTS! That last part is the most attractive to me. Second is the price (this of course depends on your needs, but it is fine for me). TSI, and probably others out there, does not offer contracts. You have a price, and that's it. That also shows how confident they are in their service. They don't need to offer contracts They're not perfect - none of internet providers are. But they are very satisfactory. Some years back, Bell was good. Not anymore...

i agree...no internet provider will be perfect, but over the years, Teksavvy has consistently been very well rated and recommended...they are a locally owned and operated business, who also has competent tech support agents and service techs, who are also people working in our region (not outsourced to India)...and with them not having contracts, it requires them to offer a high quality service or their customers will leave.
